When it comes to hair, one of the most feared things is hair loss. Most women think of their hair as their identity, and struggle with the experience of losing their hair. While the cause for some is brought about by a disease and can make their life hell feel. For example “Alopecia” can be caused by an Overactive thyroid, Diabetes or Down syndrome. Other can relate hair loss to stress, poor diet, extreme hair treatments, styles and extensions, age and genetics. I have looked into a range of products and treatments and have chosen only successful treatments for hair loss with 4.5 stars and above.
The cheapest of which is LA Science Follicle Stimulating Shampoo at £14 for a 250ml bottle. It helps repair the damaged follicles, increase blood flow to the scalp, promote the best environment for the prevention of hair loss and hair growth. With excellent reviews of 4.5 out of 5 stars, no wonder people have seen noticeable result within 8 to 10 weeks of using this product, and recommend it to their friends. Note that this product is for people who’s hair has been damaged from extreme styling and use of extensions.
The next product is a vitamin supplement called Nourkrin at £51.99 for a month supply. You can also get 3 months supply at £99.00 or 12 months at £299.70 all from Boots (Grab a 3 for 2 offer for a limited time). This vitamin is for people with more extreme versions of hair loss, mostly cause by stress, diabetes and chemical damage, some have even said it helps them with there inherited hair loss. It is currently rated 4.5 out of 5 stars, and has nothing but positive reviews from people who have said they would recommend it. Note that people who are allergic to fish should consult their Doctors before using this product, and take two tablets a day to get the best result.
This next product is a Low-level Laser Therapy treatment (LLLT) that stimulates hair growth. It absorbs into the cells, triggering enhanced cellular activity. It works by delivering light energy directly to the scalps, giving the cells extra energy. This energy promotes cellular metabolism, and increases blood circulation and oxygen supply to the follicles. You should consult with your GP or Doctor before undergoing this treatment. Only consider this if you have severe hair loss. Each sessions are usually 20 to 25 minutes, and done 3 to 4 times a week, the treatment last for about 5 months depending on how extreme the hair loss is. The price also depends on where you recieve the treatment, and result are usually seen after a few months. This treatment has been rated 5 out of 5 and judging from the reviews has changed the lives of many.
This last treatment is by far the best and is almost guaranteed to work every time. A Hair Transplant is the most extreme and expensive way to grow back your hair. Proven results and very pleased patients have been seen on the British television programme “Embarrassing Bodies”. The procedure involves taking 2cm strip width of healthy hair filled with skin from the back of the scalp. The doctors then carefully remove the hair follicles and plant them in the area which requires hair. The idea is that the hair follicles starts to create and grow normal healthy hair. The treatment is long and results are best seen after 18 months of treatment, those who have had it done are glad they did.
There is a bright future for those with hair loss problems, and the treatment are constantly evolving becoming better and more effective.
